When you open a back of Dirty Chips Cracked Pepper and Sea Salt Chips, the peppery smell and look of the chips may scare you away initially, but ignore any fear and dive in because these premium chips are an absolute must munch! With a unique pepper flavor that reminds us of a famous chicken recipe, these chips literally wowed us.
With premium price comes premium expectations and so far Dirty Chips have not disappointed. Dirty Chips BBQ seemed a bit to much on the safe side and I was afraid that the appearance of so much pepper on these chips that it would be overkill and the opposite problem. Luckily, these chips featured a perfect balance of sea salt and pepper.
The Dirty Chips Cracked Pepper and Sea Salt actually had a very nice, sweet flavor (which I guess is from the onion powder) and it was followed by a peppery finish. If you are trying to imagine what they taste like, try thinking of the crispy and delicious original recipe KFC chicken seasoning and you’re halfway there. The chips had a great crunch and did leave residue on my hands, but it was worth the mess as each bite was just as delicious as the previous.
One of my friends who was reviewing them with me couldn’t stop saying “wow” and “excellent.” In fact, not one person I gave these chips to had anything negative to say about them, even if they weren’t absolutely in love with them, they couldn’t deny how delicious they were.
Dirty Chips Cracked Pepper and Sea Salt are tremendous on their own and would probably go very well with a light beer like Stella, although you shouldn’t hesitate to have them on their own. Grab a bag of these and try to keep your friends away because they will definitely want some. Dirty Chips Cracked Pepper and Sea Salt are sweet, salty and peppery all at once and can officially be classified a must munch.

[…] offer a thick, kettle cooked crunch and great potato taste, setting a standard that allows their Cracked Pepper and Sea Salt chips to be so delicious for instance. The sea salt variety have definitely set themselves as an elite […]
I would guess that the sweet flavor actually comes from the Sugar rather than the onion powder, but that would just be my guess.
More importantly, anyone out there understand how the bag can, honestly, proclaim “no artificial sweeteners” and then present maltodextrin as an ingredient?
Do you know if any stores sell them? I’d like to purchase them but not online.
These chips are a fail.
I love salt and pepper chips and these have potential, but the other flavorings theyve added to the mix totally ruin the show. The best salt & pepper chips are just that: potatoes with salt, pepper, and nothing else.
