When anyone thinks of a potato chip, I assume they think of Lay’s Classic chips first. The distinctive chip has been around for decades and remains a salty, greasy favorite. Tasty both alone, dip, or even salsa. Lay’s Classic chips are, for me, a chip you can never say no to, but should they be on the top of your shopping list when compared to other standard chips?
Lay’s Classic chips are so thin they are almost see-through. They are also tremendously greasy and their thin texture makes them crumble very easily. However, I think everyone enjoys tipping the edge of a Lay’s bag over their mouth to collect the remains. The chips are potato tasting with a fair amount of salt and their grease factor means you should have a few napkins nearby, or you can use our wipe the grease on your pant leg method as well.
Being a low-priced, all American classic you will most definitely find them at just about any party. I personally prefer Ruffles when it comes to the most standard of standard, but I would never turn down a handful of Lay’s by any stretch. They also come in a host of flavors we hope to try including sour cream and onion and BBQ chip flavors. The company embraces its Americana and you can actually find out exactly where your chips are from now on the Lays site (ours was made in Dayville, Connecticut). You may be plain Lay’s, but I wouldn’t want it any other way.
